Middletown Area School District

Robert G. Reid Elementary School

Oberlin Road, Lower Swatara Township, Pennsylvania

This project consisted of the construction of a new elementary school adjacent to the Middletown Area High School.  A new access from and widening of Oberlin Road, PA Route 441, was also included as part of the project.  The existing entrance to the Middletown Area High School was also re-aligned with existing access of the Middletown Swim Club.  The driveway re-alignment required the widening of North Union Street, PA 441, to provide for left turns both into and exiting the school.

Working with Crabtree, Rohrbaugh and Associates, the project architect, D. C. Gohn Associates, Inc. provided Site Surveying, Civil Engineering, and Landscape Design for the project.  New site access for the Elementary School, parking, layout, grading, storm water design, erosion control design, new site utilities, as well as off-site sanitary sewer were also part of the services provided as well as management and municipal review, attendance, and response to those reviews.
